Top Hat Transportation Services is a private car service based in Chester, on Kent Island, Maryland, owned and operated by Patrick G Heller. Booking a ride with us, by this website, by phone or by text, means you agree to these terms.
We provide prearranged private passenger transportation: airport transfers to BWI, Reagan National and Dulles, corporate travel, weddings and events, and local rides on the Eastern Shore and around the Bay. We run a Cadillac CT5 sedan that seats up to 3 passengers with luggage, and an SUV that seats up to 6. We are not a taxi and we do not pick up on the street. Every trip is booked ahead.
We answer the phone 24 hours a day, every day. Whether we can take a specific trip depends on the vehicle and the driver being free, and we will tell you straight away if we cannot.
Send a request through the booking form or call 610-256-1060. A request is not a booking yet. Your trip is booked when we confirm it with you and you have the vehicle, the pickup time and the fare in hand. Please give us an accurate pickup address, a working phone number, and your flight number on an airport run, because that is what we track.
Our fares are flat and published on the rates page. There is no meter and no surge pricing, and the number you are told is the number you pay. Hourly work is booked at an hourly rate with a two hour minimum.
We confirm the fare, the vehicle, how you will pay and the cancellation terms with you when we confirm your booking. If your plans change, call 610-256-1060 as early as you can and we will work it out.
If you check the consent box on our booking form, you agree to receive transactional SMS messages from Top Hat Transportation Services about your booking, your pickup and your trip. Message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies with your booking activity. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for assistance. Texting is optional: leave the box unchecked and we will call you instead. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your number.
Be ready at the agreed time and place, wear your seat belt, and follow the driver's reasonable instructions about safety and luggage. There is no smoking in the vehicles. Please treat the vehicle with care; you are responsible for damage caused by you or your party. We may end a trip early if a passenger is unsafe to carry.
We track flights and we build in time, but traffic, weather, bridge closures and road work happen. We will always tell you as soon as we know. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control.
We carry commercial insurance for passenger transport and we will provide the certificate on request. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any one trip is limited to the fare paid for that trip, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as a missed flight, a missed connection or lost business. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
If we change these terms we will change the effective date at the top of this page. The terms that apply to your trip are the ones published when you booked it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, and any dispute belongs in the courts of Queen Anne's County, Maryland.
